Peacock Foundation Grants
The foundation supports specific projects and general operations in these interest areas: Children/Youth; Elderly; Programs for People with Disabilities; Arts for Educational Purposes; Environmental Education; Health/Hospitals; Medical Research; and Human Services. Cruise Industry Charitable Foundation
CICF was established to enhance the cruising industry’s contributions in those communities where they have extensive partnerships with state and local businesses. CICF focuses its efforts on programs that are designed to improve the quality of life in the communities served by the cruise industry. CICF supports non-profit organizations that: encourage job creation and training, improve access to community services and provide youth and adult education, particularly for minority and disadvantaged students; promote programs designed to improve public health or medical research aimed at disease prevention; and promote environmental awareness and education, as well as the study of enhanced environmental technologies for the maritime sector. SEG Gives is the charitable arm of Southeastern Grocers, parent company of BI-LO, Fresco y Mas, Harveys and Winn-Dixie supermarkets and the Southeastern Grocers Foundation, a 501(c)(3) entity dedicated to supporting the communities we serve and the causes that impact our customers. Florida Blue Foundation Build Healthy, Strong Communities
Build Healthy, Strong Communities encompasses applications for programs and support related to improving education/literacy, especially birth through 5; health and human services; arts and culture; and community development. Eligible applicants must: Be located in Florida and serve Floridians; have 501(c)(3) status with IRS; Address Florida Blue community outreach goals and targets; Not duplicate the work of other organizations already supported by Florida Blue or the Florida Blue Foundation within the same geographic or program area; Have a current, satisfactory audit conducted by a certified public accountant; and Have a long-standing reputation for credibility and integrity. 1First Bank Corporate Social Responsibility and Community Reinvestment Programs
In neighborhoods where First BanCorp has a retail bank presence, they promote healthy communities through employee volunteerism, financial services and grants.  Through the Community Investment and Development Fund (CIDF) they focus their giving on two areas of investment: the Community Reinvestment Program and the Corporate Social Responsibility Program. Areas of interest for the CIDF program are: Education and Financial Literacy; Housing and Economic Development; Community and Social Development; and Environment and Community Revitalization. U.S. Department of the Interior Save America’s Treasures – Preservation (Construction) Projects
Save America’s Treasures grants from the Historic Preservation Fund provide preservation assistance to nationally significant historic properties. Grants are awarded through a competitive process and require a dollar-for-dollar, non-Federal match, which can be cash or documented in-kind. The grants are administered by the National Park Service (NPS) in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), and the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS). The council currently is accepting applications from Florida nonprofit organizations for the planning and implementation of public humanities projects related to Florida or of interest to Floridians. Grants of up to $5,000 will be awarded for single events, lectures or panel discussions, reading and discussion groups, film series, and/or online resources such as interpretive brochures, reading lists, audio/video recordings of scholarly presentations, and classroom resources. Eligible projects must be rooted in one or more of the disciplines of the humanities, enlist the participation of humanities scholars and/or experts in the projects planning and execution, and engage the public in thoughtful and informed activities that explore humanities topics, especially those related to Florida or of interest to Floridians. Priority will be given to proposals from organizations with annual budgets of less than $1 million, projects that reach new and/or underserved audiences, and/or projects that build on partnerships between two or more organizations or institutions. To be eligible, organizations must be recognized as tax exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, be based in Florida, and serve Floridians.

Alexia Foundation 2018 Professional Alexia Grants
The foundation will award grants of $20,000 to enable professional photographers and visual journalists to produce bodies of work that share its goals of promoting world peace and cultural understanding. Priority is given to work that helps bring about change. Photographers and visual journalists from any country may apply for this Grant. Proposals for projects that have already received grants or awards of more than $10,100 in the previous calendar year are not eligible. The Grant is made to an individual photographer; project proposals that involve multiple content producers will not be accepted – unless you also submit a motion piece with your still images. You must be the primary creator on motion pieces but may have produced the piece with a small support team.

Alexia Foundation Alexia Student Grants
Student Alexia Grants enable current college student photographers to produce substantial bodies of work that share the Foundation’s goals of promoting world peace and cultural understanding. Work that helps bring about change is more valued. Student applicants are encouraged to consider proposing projects close to where you are. Our experience is that you’re more likely to produce a successful body of work if you can easily access the setting where you ll produce the work. Most student grant recipients had already started working on the project for which they received an Alexia grant. Applicants must be actively pursuing a graduate, undergraduate or associate degree in an accredited college or university in the U.S. or internationally at the time of the student deadline. You may not apply if you have graduated as of the end of 2016. No student who has worked as a professional photographer for more than one (1) year is eligible.

Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs Community Grants (CG) Program
The program is responsive on a quarterly basis to not-for-profit organizations developing small and large-scale community-based cultural (dance, theater, music, visual arts) programs, as well as projects and events, such as fairs, parades, neighborhood festivals, conferences and publications that have a strong artistic component. The CG panel considers projects with strong community involvement and/or outreach component. Arts organizations not meeting these criteria should consider applications to other Department programs. All first-time applicants must attend a CG Workshop. Eligible applicants are 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. Nest Deadlines: January 18, 2018 (Third Quarter) and March 8, 2018 (Fourth Quarter).

Carnival Foundation Grant
The Carnival Foundation supports a broad range of causes and organizations, with primary funding interests in the following areas: Arts/Culture; Community Affairs (human/social needs and children/social welfare); Education; Health/Human Services; and Special emphasis is given to requests focusing on the education and welfare of youth. Carnival Foundation makes contributions only to organizations with 501(c)(3) status with the Internal Revenue Code. Requests for sponsorships and/or in-kind donations must be received four to six months prior to the event. Giving is primarily targeted to eligible entities in South Florida and other homeport communities throughout the U.S.

The Barnes & Noble Community Relations Program
This program supports pre-K-12 schools and not-for-profit arts and literacy organizations. Fundraising opportunities at the local level include in-store book fairs and holiday gift-wrapping. Programs are set up at the store level, and inquiries should be directed to the store manager or community relations manager. A limited number of sponsorships and donations to organizations that meet their mission are also offered. Classics for Kids Foundation Matching Grant Program
The Foundation believes that playing a stringed instrument can transform a child, giving them experiences and skills that can help make them more successful in life. The foundation provides matching grants of up to $5,000 to schools or nonprofit organization to incorporate fine string instruments into their music programs. To be eligible, public and private schools or nonprofit organizations must demonstrate need and a commitment to raising matching funds. Grant applications are accepted on a quarterly. Nikon Opens The Nikon Storytellers Scholarship Program
Academic scholarships of $10,000 will be awarded to students to help foster their creative growth and encourage them to pursue a career in creative fields. Semi-finalists will be invited to submit a portfolio of images or brief video for consideration by a selection committee, which will then select the ten winning applicants. Scholarships will be awarded for use in the 2018-19 academic school year. The program is open to undergraduate and graduate students at accredited nonprofit colleges/universities or vocational/technical schools in the United States or Canada pursuing a degree in visual arts, fine arts, journalism, film, photography, or multimedia/content creation. To be eligible for a scholarship, all applicants must have completed their freshman year of college or academic equivalent before the fall of 2018.

National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Summer Seminars and Institutes
Grants broaden and deepen understanding of the humanities in supporting professional development programs, specifically designed for a national audience of K-12 educators or college and university faculty. The programs provide one- to four-week opportunities for participants (NEH Summer Scholars) to explore a variety of topics relevant to K-12 or undergraduate education in the humanities. NEH Summer Seminars and Institutes: focus on the study and teaching of significant texts and other resources; provide models of excellent scholarship and teaching; contribute to the intellectual growth of the of participants; and build lasting communities of inquiry. An NEH Summer Seminar or Institute may be hosted by a college, university, learned society, center for advanced study, library or other repository, cultural or professional organization, or school or school system. The host site must provide facilities for collegial interaction and scholarship. The program must be held only in the U.S. and its territories. American Nurses Foundation (ANF) NASN-ANF Research Grant
Through the program, the foundation will award grants of up to $5,000 in support of research projects focused on school nurses’ impact on health disparities, students with chronic health conditions, and student safety; innovative models of school nursing practice; cost-benefit analyses of school nursing; and/or the impact of school nurse activities on student health and education outcomes. To be eligible, applicants must be a member of NASN in good standing.

Gerber Foundation Research Grants
The foundation awards grants for research focused on issues faced by care providers that, when implemented, will improve health, nutrition, and/or developmental outcomes for infants and young children. Projects can address the etiologic mechanisms of disease; new, improved, or less invasive diagnostic procedures; the reduction or elimination of side effects; the alleviation of symptoms; new, improved, or less invasive therapies or treatments; dosage or dosing requirements or mechanisms for drugs, nutrient supplementation, or other therapeutic measures (under or overdosing); and preventative measures. Priority will be given to projects offering a substantial promise of meaningful advances in prevention and treatment of pediatric diseases, as well as those with broad applicability to the general population on a regional or national level. Organizations recognized as tax exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code are eligible to apply. The total requested grant size should be no more than $350,000.  Concept papers must be received no later than June 1, 2018 or December 1, 2018.

U.S. Department of Children and Families Prevention Partnership Grants (PPG)
The Prevention Partnership Grants (PPG) program, created by s. 397.99, F.S., is designed to encourage school and community substance abuse prevention partnerships. The PPG program is funded through the federal Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Block Grant (Block Grant), administered by the Florida Department of Children and Families (Department). The PPG program funds rigorous, effective, evidence-based substance abuse prevention programs and strategies intended to prevent or reduce Florida substance use and abuse rates at the community level. Successful applications should demonstrate a clear, precise connection between local community contributing factors that impact prevention and current need for the program or strategy selected. PPG grants will be awarded for a three-year period.

Kars4Kids Small Grant Program
The program supports educational initiatives and youth development programs in North America with grants ranging from $500 to $2,000. The program is especially interested in encouraging continued education outside of school and empowering future citizens and leaders of the community. Fundable activities include libraries, afterschool programs, mentoring, exercise programs, weekend programming, incentives for continued reading and math work, and anti-bullying initiatives. Applications for small grants are accepted on a rolling basis. Kars4Kids will seriously consider each application, but due to the large number of requests it receives, it may take up to four months for an applicant to hear from the organization with a final determination. The SCORE Program is designed to provide high quality business and economic development assistance to existing small businesses and nascent (pre-venture) entrepreneurs. The SCORE program delivers professional, high quality, individualized business advising and technical assistance to existing small businesses and pre-venture entrepreneurs. SCORE will provide problem solving assistance to help small businesses access capital, develop and exchange new technologies, and improve business planning, strategy, operations, financial management, personnel administration, marketing, export assistance, sales and other areas required for small business growth and expansion, management improvement, increased productivity and innovation. Florida First Capital Finance Corporation SBA 504 Green Loan Program
SBA’s 504 Green Loan Program offered through Florida First Capital allows small businesses to grow or expand and green their operations with up to 90% fixed interest rate financing. Business owners who qualify for SBA 504 financing may be eligible for multiple SBA 2nd mortgages of up to $5.5 million per 504 “green friendly” project.  Eligible uses include Energy Reduction and Renewable Energy activities. There is no limit on the number of SBA 504 green projects allowed to each borrower under the SBA’s Green Public Policy Goals, which means that business owners looking for additional 504 financing may be eligible even if they have committed or outstanding SBA loans.

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) 15th Annual P3 Awards: A National Student Design Competition Focusing on People, Prosperity and the Planet – Air Quality
EPA is seeking applications proposing to research, develop, design, and demonstrate solutions to real world challenges. The P3 competition highlights the use of scientific principles in creating innovative technology-based projects that achieve the mutual goals of improved quality of life, economic prosperity, and protection of the planet – people, prosperity, and the planet. The EPA offers the P3 competition in order to respond to the needs of people in the United States (U.S.) – e.g., those in small, rural, tribal, and disadvantaged communities. Proposed projects must embody the P3 approach, which is that they have the intention and capability to simultaneously improve the quality of people’s lives, provide economic benefits, and protect the environment. Voya is accepting applications from organizations that provide innovative and experiential K-8 STEM learning opportunities and/or improve teachers’ capabilities in STEM; or provide financial education curriculum to students in grades 9-12 focused on navigating major financial milestones, including student debt, credit, home ownership, financial products and services, and family needs. 1) STEM Education: The foundation supports organizations that fund high-quality experiential STEM learning opportunities for students in grades K-8. Grants support leadership development activities for faculty, students, and senior leaders; interfaith literacy for students and faculty; environmental stewardship and sustainability research; student and faculty inquiry, including faculty development and support for undergraduate student-faculty research; and diversity, inclusion, and support for underserved student populations. All private four-year residential colleges and universities are eligible to apply. Those institutions undergoing a presidential transition must wait to submit a proposal until the new president has been in office for a year.  Institutions may request planning grants ranging between $25,000 and $100,000, or comprehensive grants of up to $300,000. Nikon Opens The Nikon Storytellers Scholarship Program
Academic scholarships of $10,000 will be awarded to students to help foster their creative growth and encourage them to pursue a career in creative fields. Semi-finalists will be invited to submit a portfolio of images or brief video for consideration by a selection committee, which will then select the ten winning applicants. Scholarships will be awarded for use in the 2018-19 academic school year. The program is open to undergraduate and graduate students at accredited nonprofit colleges/universities or vocational/technical schools in the United States or Canada pursuing a degree in visual arts, fine arts, journalism, film, photography, or multimedia/content creation. Steelcase Active Learning Center Grants Program
The program aims to identify educators at the leading edge of active learning pedagogies. The annual award recognizes a teaching program that demonstrates innovation in psychiatric education. The award consists of a grant and a certificate and also will cover the expenses of one representative from the winning program to attend the college’s annual meeting. The award is open to any creative/innovative program for psychiatric education that has been in operation for at least two years and has been a part of a U.S.- or Canadian-approved psychiatric residency training program. American Academy of Periodontology Foundation Tarrson Fellowship
The fellowship is a $30,000 award ($10,000 a year, for up to three years) for periodontists pursuing a career in academia and is not intended to replace support that would normally have been provided by the recipient’s institution. To be eligible, applicants must be either a full-time faculty member at the instructor or assistant level or a part-time faculty member at an institution of higher education in the United States. Community Connectors Partnership Opportunity with Miami-Dade County Project PEACE: Innovations in Community Based Crime Reduction (CBCR) 
Miami-Dade County seeks to partner with a local 501(C)3 nonprofit organization located in or near Micro-Target Areas in Liberty City to hire, train, staff, manage, and supervise “Community Connectors” to serve as contracting professionals who will maintain a visible presence in the micro-target areas on a routine basis through August 2018.  The selected agency must have a track record of providing similar services in Liberty City.   Requested activities are a result of a federally funded, innovative crime reduction project titled Project PEACE that involves working with Police, community-based organizations, residents, and businesses to improve communications, relationships, and conditions in the area. Community Connectors will be identified with Project PEACE rather than the agency itself. The Community Connectors strategy is a component of the Economic Environment Best Practice Intervention category approved by the Department of Justice, in order to provide employment opportunities to at least 2 full-time qualified residents from the area, while identifying needs and providing services to its residents. These professionals will identify appropriate services for residents and businesses from the target areas (Attachment 1) by completing needs assessments followed by outreach, case-management, and referral services. In addition, Community Connectors will attend training, workshops, and other meetings or events as required. International Women’s Media Foundation Reporting Grants For Women’s Stories
Program is designed to support journalism produced by and about women. In an era of increased globalization, the need for varied coverage of gendered topics is critical to a free and representative press. The foundation also recognizes that promoting the work and advancing the role of women in the news media is critical to transparency and that women journalists remain underrepresented in both media organizations and bylines across the world. The initiative empowers women journalists to access untold stories through new means of funding that emphasizes gender-balanced reporting. SBA’s 504 Green Loan Program offered through Florida First Capital allows small businesses to grow or expand and green their operations with up to 90% fixed interest rate financing. CICF was established to enhance the cruising industry’s contributions in those communities where they have extensive partnerships with state and local businesses. Grants of up to $25,000 will be awarded to encourage and facilitate the design, development, and construction of quality skateboard parks and facilities in low-income communities in the U.S. The facilities should be built from concrete by qualified and experienced skatepark contractors; include local skaters in the planning, fundraising, and design process; be situated in low-income areas or areas with a high population of “at-risk” youth; demonstrate a strong grassroots commitment to the project, particularly in the form of fundraising by local skateboarders and other community groups; and have a creative mix of street obstacles (rails, ledges, stairs, etc.) and transition/vert terrain (quarterpipes, bowls, halfpipes, etc.). Skateparks should encourage skaters to look after their own safety and the safety of others without restricting their access to the park or over-regulating their use of it; be open during daylight hours, 365 days a year; not charge an entrance fee; and be in areas that currently have no skateboarding facilities. To be eligible, applicants must be an organization interested in building free, public skateparks in low-income communities in the U.S.

Kars4Kids Small Grant Program
The program supports educational initiatives and youth development programs in North America with grants ranging from $500 to $2,000. The program is especially interested in encouraging continued education outside of school and empowering future citizens and leaders of the community. Fundable activities include libraries, afterschool programs, mentoring, exercise programs, weekend programming, incentives for continued reading and math work, and anti-bullying initiatives. American Federation for Aging Research Irene Diamond Fund/AFAR Postdoctoral Transition Awards in Aging Program
The program is focused on advancing translational aging research and provides two-year fellowships of $120,000. Fellowship awards are meant to provide portable and flexible transitional funding for senior postdoctoral fellows as they develop and negotiate for junior faculty appointments and independent research programs. A supplemental award of up to $30,000 may be available if the candidate successfully transitions to an independent junior faculty position within two years of completing his/her Diamond/AFAR Fellowship. To be eligible, applicants must be a postdoctoral fellow (MD and/or PhD degree or equivalent) within three to six years of starting postdoctoral training at the start date of the award (July 1, 2018). Applicants who have received postdoctoral training beyond six years (before July 1, 2012) must provide a justification for the additional training period.
