#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving powered by social media. It is the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, which this year is November 28. To tap its potential, your organization needs to up its social media presence before, during and after #Giving Tuesday to help build the movement and, in the process, raise awareness and funds for your mission and organization. Using hashtag #GivingTuesday helps build recognition, and is suggested for all your social media communications leading up to and reporting on the day.
