The Florida legislature is in session and several bills that will impact nonprofits are being debated. It is essential that nonprofit leaders understand how civic engagement, advocacy and lobbying affect their organizations. Learn in the Discovering Trends through Civic Engagement class led by Christina Disbrow online on Saturday, April 17 from 1 to 5 pm.
Christina was a Legislative Aide for the Florida House of Representatives where she successfully managed offices and staff in both the district and Capitol office. She was Treasurer and Endorsement Chair of the National Women’s Political Caucus Florida
Christina worked on the Katie Edwards Campaign as the Volunteer Coordinator/ Communications Director for four election cycles of a local state representative through community outreach, volunteer coordination, fundraising, and communications. She served as volunteer coordinator to the Elect Bob Levy Campaign recruiting, training and motivating volunteers for a local City Commissioner’s successful re-election campaign.
Christina has more than a decade of practical experience working with nonprofits. She is experienced in fundraising, grant writing, event planning, advocacy, community outreach, and government affairs. Christina founded All Write, All Write, All Write, a boutique development firm dedicated to helping small to medium nonprofits secure funding for their mission through grant writing, fundraising and advocacy. In 2016 she received the Broward County Women’s History Coalition: Broward Women’s Hall of Fame Rising Star Award.
Christina earned a Masters of Art from Florida Atlantic University in Nonprofit Management and a Bachelor of Arts, Political Science/ Nonprofit Management and she is a member of the following organizations:
