January 2023 News Thank You John Muir

Kudos to Marketing Guru John Muir

A big thank you goes out to volunteer John Muir for organizing, designing and implementing the Florida Association of Nonprofits’ entry in the Winterfest Boat Parade and winner in best in sailboat category 2023. With over a million viewers along the 12-mile parade route and an economic impact to Broward County of over $50 million, Winterfest is a Fort Lauderdale institution.

Other organizations that were part of the entry were Red Cross of Broward County and Gulfstream Sailing Club.

We also thank Captain Paul Jehlen and Kim Golodner for donating the use of the beautiful 65-foot ketch Unexpected Pleasure. It was decorated by a group of generous volunteers including Paul and Kim themselves. Television coverage was provided by WSVN Channel 7 and you can still watch it on YouTube an d Facebook.

But now we need you! You can still vote for the People’s Choice Award (til 1/12), so please vote for boat #99. Voting is allowed once a day and we would greatly appreciate your support. Let John know that we appreciate him.
