Mid Feb 2021 News Saving Money thru Tech

A tip from an expert can make technology so much less expensive. The Florida Association of Nonprofits has contacts with experts on every aspect of nonprofit management built up over our 30-year history of unifying, strengthening, and building capacity for Florida’s nonprofits.

The pandemic has dramatically highlighted the need for top tech information and systems. Florida Nonprofits is fortunate to have access to technological expertise through Preferred Partner LAN Infotech, a South Florida-based IT services provider. The Information Revolution: Managing Technology class on Monday, February 22, will be led by Glen Benjamin, a Client Executive for LAN Infotech.

Glen has never been busier than during the pandemic.  Circumstances tested nonprofit tech capacity and LAN Infotech came to the rescue with the top tech and systems information shared through Florida Nonprofits’ Preferred Partner Program.

Glen has worked in the technology industry for nearly 40 years in a variety of roles for organizations such as HP, Citrix, AT&T, Sprint/Nextel, CenturyLink. He has a diverse background in technology with specializations in Cybersecurity, Edge Devices, Cloud, Connectivity, Business Continuity, and Social Media. In 2019 he was named a Digital Media Influencer by AutoFOCUS “In recognition of his digital engagement and continued support.”

Glen has been a member of TechLauderdale and the South Florida Technology (SFTA) as well as its predecessor, the South Florida Telecom Forum (SFTF) for about 20 years and for the past three years has been a Board Member of TechLauderdale supporting their annual keynote event, ITPalooza. Glen has volunteered his time for a variety of local charities such as the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Alzheimer’s Association, Multiple Sclerosis Society amongst other organizations.

We are delighted to be able to share this level of expertise with our members and students. We invite you to join us (virtually) as we cover these important topics. Click here for more info on the Sunshine Certificate in Nonprofit Management.
