In response to the pandemic, the deadline for the Self-Response Phase of the 2020 census has been extended from July 31 to October 31. This is vitally important as more than $675 billion in federal funding distribution depends on census data. All nonprofits need to encourage full participation in the census to ensure their area receives a fair share of the funding.
The tabulation of the data will begin after October 1 so that the data can be presented to the president by the end of the year as required by law.
